Law Enforcement Shooting Competition in Lupkow

Under MILMAG`s media auspices, international shooting competition for uniformed forces „Lupkowskie Strzelby” (Shotguns in Lupkow) took place at the Lupkow Correctional Facility`s shooting range. Event run for two day (12-14 June) and competitors from Carpathian Euroregion took part in it. 

For the last decade, representatives of Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, take part in this competition.

This is a cyclic event happening for ten years. Representatives from Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Hungary are competing for top shooters awards. Competition is only opened for officers who carry weapons on every-day basis. All together there were 77 men and women taking part. The event happened under patronage of Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro. General Director of Sluzba Wiezienna (Prison Service) from Poland - general Jacek Kitlinski, and Chief of Lviv region Penitentiary Services and general Michajlo Dzudz were the honorable quests.

Competitors worked both in teams and individually. Utilized weapons included pistols (9 mm P99) and rifles (5,56 mm Radom Sport ), all provided by Fabryka Broni Lucznik Radom: - event`s partner. Points were awarded for standing and prone position shooting, as well as in precision grenade toss.

Representatives of Podkarpacka Liga Obrony Kraju (LOK; Country Defense League) won the men`s team competition, with University of Internal Affairs from Lviv coming second and Police team from Preszow third.

In women team`s competition Lvov University of Internal Affairs took the prize. Second coming were the representatives of Bieszdzadzki Oddzial Strazy Graniczej (Bieszczady Region Boarder Guards). Guards from Correctional Facility in Lupkow were third.

3rd - Sebastian Skora; member of Quick Reaction Group of Prison Service from Rzeszow

1st - Maria Moskovchuk; Lviv University of Internal Affairs.

2nd - Katarzyna Poplowicz; Bieszczadzki Oddzial Strazy Granicznej

3rd - Nataliia Dydik -  Lvov University of Internal Affairs

 Weapons and equipment used by various uniformed forces were on display at the event. Fabryka Broni, Motorola Solutions Polska, Przedsiebiorstwo Sprzetu Ochronnego Maskpol i Lubawa S.A. showed their offer at the competition in Lupkow.
